台北市吳幼聰醫師

許先生來函告知戰死的神靖丸醫師之一乃台北市建成町吳幼聰醫師.

吳醫師生於大正八年(1919),九州醫科大學卒業後返台.昭和十九年(1944)新婚不久,蜜月都還沒結束就被徵召入伍.出發後信息全無.隔年1945年7月,終戰之前,家人才收到通知: 「昭和20年1月12日南シナ海に於いて戦死す」.享年26歲.今年8月27日,詢問靖國神社後,才証實吳醫師合祀於內.

吳夫人憂慮逾恆,染上肺疾,戰時醫藥不足,於1945年3月在不知夫婿下落的情況下過世,得年僅24.

    Wow! I am really sorry to hear this newly wed tragedy. How unfortunate!
    On the other hand, I am glad we have found another family of Shinsei Maru.

    吳醫師 was almost the same age as 郭鴻文醫師. I hope they had become friends on board the ship. They were both too young to be drafted.
